Mr. Anh Vo is currently working as a research director at Business and Economics Research Group, Ho Chi Minh City Open University, Vietnam. Anh had a Bachelor of Arts degree in Management Information System with the major of Financial Mathematics from the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City in 2012, and was awarded a Master of Arts degree in Development Economics in 2015 by the Vietnam-Netherlands Programme, one of the most highly regarded master programs in Vietnam. His thesis titled “Exchange rates and trade balance: A new approach using Big Mac Index” was marked as the best thesis from the Program.
Anh’s current research interests include international trade, exchange rate policy, financial stability, economic growth, energy economics, and applied econometrics. Anh has presented his research findings at various international conferences in Vietnam as well as China. Anh has research papers published various peer-reviewed journals including Economics Bulletin; Emerging Markets Finance and Trade; The North American Journal of Economics and Finance; Journal of Risk and Financial Management and Annals of Financial Economics. Anh has also published several articles in national leading journals.
Anh has recently been a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Concordia in Canada in Fall 2019. Anh’s Ph.D. study will be fully sponsored by the University.
